One of my dear friends would always make homemade strawberry bread around Christmas time. She would have a day of baking and then wrap them in beautiful paper and deliver them to all of her friends and family. She was kind enough to share the recipe with me so that I could start making this delicious holiday treat for my friends and family!
I have been making this recipe for several years and it is something I always look forward to! It makes for a delicious and beautiful homemade gift, but it is also perfect to have for breakfast on Christmas morning! It is so easy to make and it makes your home smell absolutely delicious! Happy baking!
Strawberry Bread Ingredients:
- 3 Cups Flour
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 3 tsp. Cinnamon
- 2 10 oz. Packages of thawed Strawberries
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ Cups Oil
Let’s Get Baking!
Heat the oven to 325° F.
Mix the dry ingredients together and make a hole in the center.
Add eggs and oil to a separate bowl. Beat well. Add the strawberries. You can use fresh strawberries, but frozen strawberries work well too and they are usually less expensive! I like to purchase the frozen bags of whole strawberries. This is really helpful especially if you are making multiple batches. I just thaw the strawberries in a glass bowl in the microwave and throw them in my Ninja Chop! It is so much cheaper than purchasing the sliced strawberries!
Pour the liquid ingredients into the mixture and mix with a spoon.
Fill a greased loaf pan a little over halfway with the batter. This mixture will fill two loaf pans.
Bake @ 325 for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Allow the loaf to cool before slicing or wrapping!
If I’m taking this to a party or serving it for breakfast, I like to slice it and store it in a fun Christmas tin! If I’m giving the bread as a gift, I like to wrap it in plastic wrap and decorative cellophane. I hope you enjoy!

This looks so yummy, and my whole family just loves strawberries. These would make really cute hostess gifts while visiting family during the holidays.
Thank you, Jamie! I love making these for hostess gifts! I just have to wrap each loaf very quickly so that I don’t eat it right away, lol!
I want to try this but need to convert to nut flours first. Hopefully it works out!
That is awesome, Dee! I would LOVE to know how that turns out! 🙂
Ready to make! Husband is excited… I make pumpkin bread at Thanksgiving and we love the idea of a great bread for Christmas. Rhubarb is another great fruit for this kind of bread! Thanks for sharing! Beautiful blog!
Thank you so much, Charlie! I really appreciate that! I LOVE pumpkin bread too, but I have never had rhubarb! I will definitely have to try that. Thank you for that suggestion! 🙂
Looks like another winner! I wonder if blueberries would make a good addition?
Thank you, Maggie! I think that is a great idea! I actually have a bag of blueberries in my freezer and I’m going to try this exact recipe with blueberries and lemon zest instead of strawberries. I think it will be really yummy! I think mixed berry would be really yummy too! 🙂
Looks delicious.
Thank you so much, Laura!
I see posts like this and I could be better at baking! Looks delicious!
Thank you, Melina! I promise this one is sooo easy! 🙂
Nice and clear. Looks easy and delicious.
Thank you, Verla! 🙂
Looks delicious!! Have you tried with other berries or even a mix of berries?
Thank you, Alisha! For this specific recipe, I haven’t tried other berries, but I currently have a frozen bag of blueberries in my freezer and I think I’m going to try it with the blueberries and lemon zest! I have a feeling it will be quite delicious, I just need to play around with the number of blueberries I add to make sure the flavor is right. Let me know if you try it with the mixed berries! 🙂
Yum, I have made banana, zucchini, pumpkin, cinnamon and blueberry bread but never strawberry! I will definitely give this a try!
I love ALL of the types of bread you just listed. I really just love bread if we are being totally honest. 🙂 I hope you enjoy!
I’ve never heard of strawberry bread but I’m really excited to try making this! We already buy the giant bags of frozen strawberries at Costco, so for once I’ve got every ingredient on hand, and this sounds SO amazing!
Emailing myself a link to this recipe 😊
Thank you so much, Noelle! That is one thing I love about this recipe, I usually always have the ingredients ready to go! I hope you enjoy! It is one of our favorites! 🙂

Just love new recipes and this looks really good.
Thank you so much, Bola!
Strawberry bread, what?! Yum. That’s one you don’t see very often. I bet you could add a little red food coloring to pretty it up even more for, say, a little girls tea party or something! I love to try new recipes. Thanks!
Oh, I love the red food coloring idea! Especially for a tea party! Thank you, Elizabeth!
I’ve never tried strawberry bread before but sounds amazing! You always have such good food and cocktail recipes, love it!
Thank you so much, Melissa! That made my day! 🙂
